Mara completed her BS in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from Marist College and her MS in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England. She then went on to complete her clinical rotations at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston prior to moving back to New Jersey to start her OT career. Mara is our Lead Occupational Therapist and has numerous years of experience working with children with varying medical, neurodevelopmental, and socioemotional backgrounds. She is passionate about creating individualized treatment plans that address the whole child experience and are rooted in current evidence-based practice. Mara enjoys collaborating with speech therapy and mental health counseling to create engaging interventions that allow children to access the skills necessary to complete what they want to do, what they need to do, and what they are expected to do!
